… only 1000 copies of the Special Edition Release. They are put together on the road as we go… It’s a one mic, analogue, reel to reel recording, that has an awesome, swamp rock, songwriter sound.

Track 1: Cemetery Road

… soaking in the environment of our backyard on a hot summer evening… cicadas buzzing in the distance like a humming amp waiting for the strum of a chord… their location changes from distant to close with increased volume… eluding to that chord… to the right a bird chants a repetitive song… soon in the distance it is answered by another… this is repeated several times… a singsong conversation.

The distant bird stops answering… this prompts our home bird to several short calls beckoning a response… none is received… prompting a much more elaborate song/chant than the first encountered… a composition longing a response…

… driving to work today I saw one of the saddest sights I’ve seen, it just made my heart sink… a dog trotting north on southbound Interstate 75, it was against the center dividing wall with tongue wagging in the 85 degree heat and four lanes of racing traffic between it and safer ground across the roadway… during the rest of my drive it was all I could think about… exiting miles ahead and attempting a backtrack and rescue entered my mind, but returning to an even sadder sight would be heartbreaking… my best option seemed to be praying/hoping/wishing, with all the positive energy I had, for a happy ending…

“Maybe,’ I figgered, ‘maybe it’s all men an’ all women we love; maybe that’s the Holy Spirit-the human sperit-the whole shebang. Maybe all men got one big soul ever’body’s a part of.’ Now I sat there thinkin’ it, an’ all of a suddent-I knew it. I knew it so deep down that it was true, and I still know it.”

— John Steinbeck, Grapes of Wrath

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control
the issuance of their currency, first by inflation and then
by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up
around them will deprive the people of all their property
until their children will wake up homeless on the continent
their fathers conquered.” – Thomas Jefferson

… this video was shot at “the space” a small building that I’m renting to the band for rehearsals, I’ve had a few offers that would pay more rent… but wtf… I love music and want to support local talent… and this awesome performance makes me feel very very good about it!…
